RCMP show off the Marijuana and cash seized on July 9th, 2009 – Submitted

Police have seized a considerable amount of marijuana, which they believe was destined for Fort St. John.

On July 9th, police conducted a targeted traffic stop on Hwy 97 south of Mcleod Lake.

The Mackenzie RCMP, along with the North District Regional GIS out of Fort St. John seized 4.76 kilograms of marijuana, along with a significant amount of cash.

The 2005 GMC Sierra Pickup was also seized under the Proceeds of Crime legislation. A Fort St. John man is in custody for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and will be appearing in Mackenzie Provincial Court later this summer.
