This holiday season, all of our Supporters are entered to win an $800 Shopping Spree Giveaway!

The financial statements are out for Fort St. John City employees and elected officials for 2008.

City employees salaries totaled just over $9,644,000. As for elected officials, the total came to more than $185,000.

Former City Manager John Locher, who was fired in June of 2007, received just over $141,000 as a promised severance package.

Now, last year, former Mayor Jim Eglinski spent just under $7,000 for expenses, like out-of-town conferences. Since January 2009, Mayor Lantz has spent just over $11,000 for conferences in various parts of BC and Alberta.

Meanwhile, wages for three firefighters varied from $128,000 thousand to $147,000.
