A natural gas company spokesman has now confirmed RCMP investigators suspicions, that someone did tamper with the gas lines inside the home, that exploded early last Sunday in Tumbler Ridge.

Bob Cooper, of Pacific Northern Gas says, the internal piping in the house was tampered with, which led to the house filling with gas and then exploding.

He adds the company is working with police, who continue to investigate the incident, which destroyed the home, and damaged 26 others.

One man was killed in the blast but, police have still not released his name.
