Association for Community Living Paying it Forward

A local association will be using Karma as a basis to change Fort St. John for the better.

The Association for Community Living is holding its first annual, ‘Pay it Forward Day’ on Friday, June 12th.

Special Programs Coordinator Corinne Goodwin says the event is based off the movie with the same title.

Employees and stakeholders of the association are asked to complete three acts of kindness on the designated day.

The acts can be planned or completely random, like opening up a door for someone. Other acts planned for this year include mowing lawns, cleaning the library, and even handing out baking around the community.

Goodwin says she hopes it creates a domino-effect within in the community.

She says she hopes the event becomes an annual one, which will make people aware of their day-to-day choices.
