A Fort St. John girl has won in a prestigious writing competition.
The Claremont Review held its annual writing contest, and announced that Jillian Aalhus has won third. Aalhus won in the fiction category.
She will be winning 200 dollars plus a one year subscription to the magazine. The Claremont Review is a non-profit, Victoria based literary magazine, which showcases the work of writers 19 and younger.
The competition received more than 700 submissions of poetry and fiction from all over North America.
