The deadline to nominate someone for a Community Award is getting closer.
Those interested have until June 1st to submit nomination papers for one of the many categories. The Gala was postponed in April, to allow more time for nomination papers to be submitted.
The Gala was originally scheduled for April 23rd. Last month, organizer Karin Carlson said the committee was going to make the application process as easy as possible. Anyone can nominate someone who makes a difference in the community.
Some of the categories include Athlete of the Year, Performing Artist of the Year and Environmental Benefactor of the Year. Nomination forms are due by June 1st.
