A high-tech scavenger hunt is going on in Fort St. John, and there’s still time to become a part of it. If you have a GPS, you can take part in the Move for Health Day Geocache Challenge.
The City’s Recreation Programmer Becky Keim says there are many prizes that she has scattererd throughout the city.
Many of them can be found along walking trails and historic parks. She says if you do participate, remember to bring something to replace your prize with.

The activity works by getting the location of each Geocache, or hidden prize, and then entering the waypoint co-ordinates into a GPS. You then follow the directions to the Geocache and claim your prize.
Prizes range from frisbees to bike reflectors. Keim recommends bringing something small enough to fit in the box. The clues from the first nine Caches will lead you to the co-ordinates of this grand finale Cache with four First to Find prizes inside.
Keim says the city is putting this event on to encourage physical fitness within the community.

Keim says the event is free for everyone. She says as long as people will replace the prize, the Geocaches will remain in the given coordinates.
