RCMP detachment and court house tours

If you ever wanted to get a behind-the-scenes look at the RCMP, here’s your chance.

The Fort St. John RCMP is holding a tour of the detachment, as well as a court house tour on Thursday night.

The tour is part of the Law Month celebrations happening around the city.

Community Policing Coordinator for the Safe Communities Unit Rick Ekkel says participants will get to see a day in the life of a police officer.

Anyone who is interested in the RCMP is encouraged to attend the free drop-in tours.

Ekkel says the tours will educate and inform residents who are curious about the city’s detachment.

He says there will also be a short demonstration by the police service dog.

The tours run every half hour between 5:30pm and 7:00pm Thursday night.
