New Homes for Seniors & Disabled

The B-C and federal governments handed out more money yesterday, to build up to one thousand new housing units, for seniors and the disabled.
About 123 million dollars will be spent in 19 communities, including Fort St. John and Fort Nelson, with work on the first 218 units, to start over the next few months.
Energy Minister Blair Lekstrom, the acting Peace River North MLA says, up to 16 new modular housing units, will be created in the two Northeast communities.
He says the iniative is part of an overall 14 billion dollar province-wide infrastructure program, which will create up to 88,000 jobs.
