Canfor announced more curtailments at mills in British Columbia and Alberta
Starting April 27th six sawmills in British Columbia and Alberta will take one week curtailments. The operations effected include the Rustad, Prince George, Vavenby, Grande Prairie, Quesnel and Houston sawmills.
The company expects this will remove 32 million board feet of lumber production.
Canfor also announced Tuesday that it will be taking summer shut downs at all of its Canadian lumber operations during July and August. This move will remove 130 million board feet of lumber from production.
