What better way to reward a hard working woman, than to nominate her for an Aurora Award of Distinction.

The awards are for women who demonstrate leadership in her field.

Sue Kenny from Community Futures Peace Liard says the awards are also for women who mentor and support other women in the workplace.

Some of the categories include agriculture, construction, politics and Aboriginal Women of the Year.

Past recipients include Electoral Area ‘B’ and Chair for the Peace River Regional District Karen Goodings.

Winners will be awarded on May 5th at the Northern Women’s Symposium in Taylor.

In addition to the banquet, winners will receive a take-home award.
