Elections BC is into recruiting mode, for the upcoming provincial election and Referendum on election reform.
The non-partisan office is looking to hire as many as 32,000 temporary workers, mostly to work as officials on voting day, which is May 12th. In our riding Elections BC is looking for 300-400 people.
A release from Elections BC says election officials don’t have to be registered voters, but they must be reliable and responsible, and must take an oath to perform their duties impartially and fairly.
Spokesperson Kenn Faris also says, there is no experience required.
