The Enerplex construction is coming along nicely, Mayor Bruce Lantz says.

He says despite the delays, he expects the construction will be complete on time and on budget.

He also says the city is letting businesses set a price on the naming rights.

Lantz says in times like these, the city wants to allow for negotiation on a reasonable price. The business with the top bid will have its name alongside the Enerplex.

The city originally set a three million dollar goal for sponsorships. Lantz says he hopes the goal will be matched, but doesn’t have high expectations.

Meanwhile, he says a solution has been found for the padding around the oval.

Lantz says engineers are outlining a parking plan that will be ready in the next couple of days.
