Minister Lekstrom announced a new job development initiatives at todays Fort St. John and District Chamber of Commerce Luncheon.
The first initiative is a training for Petroleum Field Services Entrepreneurs. This training will provide potential entrepreneurs with the skills to start their own buisness servicing oil and gas companies. The second initiative will see more women learn professional driver training. The Professional Driver Training for Women program will be a pilot training program that will tap into a non-traditional oil and gas industry labour source.

The Minister will speak to the Dawson Creek Chamber of Commerce on Thursday and will also make another announcement in Dawson Creek on Friday.
