A B-C Liberal M-L-A says his party needs to be wary of the Conservatives. The Tories haven’t elected a member to the legislature in decades but, Al Horning suggests they could become to the grits, what the Green Party is to the New Democrats…and siphon votes from the Liberals — helping the N-D-P. When the province last went to the polls in 2005, the Conservatives garnered less than one per cent of the popular vote. However, there was significant support in several ridings, such as Vernon, where Tory candidate, Colin Black, captured 12 per cent of the vote. Also from the election file we note, that April 28th is the date for the all-candidates forum at the Quality Inn Northern Grand Hotel, for the Peace River North Constituency. Moose-FM will carry a live broadcast of that event.
