BC Paramedics Job Action

B-C Ambulance paramedics warn the provincial government has more to worry about than patients, if their contract dispute results in job action, beginning Wednesday.
While the 35-hundred paramedics are technically going on strike, essential-services legislation means they won’t be walking off the job.
However, their union — Ambulance Paramedics of B-C — says workers will skip administrative tasks, such as routine paperwork and shuffling ambulances to service centres.
The dispute is primarily over wages and, the length of the collective agreement.
