Liberals to pick candidate Friday

BC Liberal Members will pick their candidate for the upcoming provincial election this Friday.

The BC Liberal Party has now confirmed that Liberal members will vote this Friday at two locations, one at the Pomeroy Hotel in Fort St. John and the other at the Woodlands Inn in Fort Nelson. Voting will take place between 5pm and 9pm and results are expected later that day.

Members will be able to vote for a single candidate or they can vote in order of preference. If one candidate does not receive 50% of the vote on the first ballot, the candidate with the least amount of votes drops off. Members who picked the candidate with the least amount of votes will then see their second choice get a vote. This process will continue until one candidate has at least 50% of the vote.

Candidates had until Friday March 13th to sign up Liberal members who are the only people eligible to vote.

Energeticcity.ca will provide full results from the vote Friday night.
