Fort St. John’s Surerus Pipelines has registered a major safety milestone.
It has achieved one million man-hours, without a lost-time-incident. Company President and founder, Brian Surerus says "In my 40 years pipelining, I have never heard of a safety accomplishment of this magnitude in our industry."
A lost-time-incident occurs when a job-related illness or injury causes an employee to miss work beyond the day of injury.
Surerus Pipeline Incorporated is a private pipeline construction company established in 1969 and it has constructed over 6 thousand kilometers of pipeline in all types of terrain in BC and Alberta.
Mr. Surerus notes the firm’s motto is "Safe Work…Quality Work" and he adds, "This achievemnet proves, we live our motto every day."
