EnCana dismisses 60 Willbros employees

Over 60 employees were dismissed from an En-Cana dry camp after alcohol was found on the premises.

En-Cana spokesman Alan Boras says 40 additional employees chose to leave the dry camp as well. [asset|aid=1104|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=48f9af6c393ce01d698f81d9f698e9cc-Alan Boras 1_1_Pub.mp3]

He says the employees were of the company Willbros Group. They were working on a pipeline project in the Horn River area. Boras says the RCMP was not involved in the investigation because no one committed a crime. The employees were asked to leave the camp on March 4th. Boras says En-Cana has policies that it must follow for the health and safety of its employees.
