Mayor Bruce Lantz was taken to a Prince George hospital Tuesday, after an unscheduled landing on a flight from Fort St. John to Vancouver.
An email from Mayor Lantz, forwarded by City Manager Dianne Hunter, confirms Lantz fainted on the flight, which forced the emergency landing in Prince George. The Mayor was taken to the Prince George Hospital and released late Tuesday afternoon. At this time we don’t know what caused Mayor Lantz to faint, though he suggests it may have been caused by an interaction between medications for his kidney and heart medications.
Mayor Lantz expects to continue on to Vancouver, where he, along with other northern mayors, will meet with Premier Campbell.
