VE Brandl Flyers wrap up the season

**Submitted

The VE Brandl Pee Wee B Flyers played their final game of the season on Sunday against the Spirit River Rangers, in exciting and action packed game.

After a fast paced first period, the Rangers got on the scoreboard first when they netted one with only 49 seconds left in the period.  However, the Flyers tied it up one minute into the second period when Tyler Wood set up Ricky Bateman to even the score.  The Rangers scored three more goals before the Flyers mounted a comeback scoring two short handed goals to bring them within one.  Trystan Baxter netted the first shorthanded goal on a breakaway and less than a minute later, Jarod Lang potted one of his own. The Rangers got one more before the end of the frame to increase their lead to 5-3 going into the third period.

In the third, the Rangers scored twice more before the Flyers got their last goal of the season on a nice passing play from Lang, and Aiden Harris to Alex Hartman.   Although the Flyers worked hard and passed the puck well they just couldn’t stop the much bigger Ranger team.      ‘

The Flyers would like to thank all of the fans and their sponsor VE Brandl, who came out to support them this year.
