Eco-Depot expanding recycling collection

The Eco-Depot’s three month curbside recycling pilot project will be continuing until June.

After the success of the program, General Manager Lindsay Heal says the depot wants to expand service to the whole city.

From the beginning of October 2008 until this January, the depot collected 25 hundred blue bags.

When the project began, the depot serviced the 108th-118th Avenue. Heal says now, anyone who has garbage pickup on Tuesday or Thursday can sign up for the recycling collection service.

Heal says it costs 12 dollars a month for a six month subscription, or 15 dollars a month for a three month subscription to the service. If you would like to sign up, or have any questions, call Heal at 250-785-0300.
