There’s a few delays in the construction of Station 44.
G-8 Properties Spokesperson Marv Thielmann says the project is having a hard time finding businesses to commit to the retail buildings.

However, he says there are a couple of large businesses that are signed up and are ready to go.
Station 44 is a 220 acre project that would include residential complexes, retail stores, and hotels. Its proposed to be built along the Alaska Highway at the 72 street bypass.
Thielmann says he would like to have all necessary paper work and business complete, before any construction begins.
He says the ailing economy is playing a big part in recruiting businesses.

Thielmann says Fort St. John is a thriving community, and he says Station 44 will be built once business is taken care of.
