Temperatures should rise tomorrow but we still have a Wind Chill Warning

The Peace Country may see a break in the cold weather Friday.

Environment Canada’s latest forcast shows the temperature should rise on Friday to a high of minus nine and a low of -23.  Today the wind is expected to get up  to 15 km/h with a high minus 17. Wind chill minus 43 this morning and minus 33 this afternoon with a risk of frostbite.

Some would say we are not as bad off as the rest of the province.  Snowfall warnings have been lifted in most areas including the south coast, Fraser Valley and most of southeastern B-C, but they remain in effect through the Similkameen, Boundary, Okanagan and Elk valleys.

Roads are described as extremely slippery around most of suburban Vancouver but all B-C highways are open again — except Highway 3 from Sparwood to the Alberta boundary, which is closed by blowing snow.
