After all the waiting, the watching, and the rescheduling, the Huskies finally begin their playoffs Friday night in Slave Lake.
Games one and two of the NWJHL first-round playoff series will be on the road, after the Huskies couldn’t secure any Fort St. John ice-time this weekend.

The road trip will also hurt the Huskies bench, as defencemen Cash Brinkworth and Brandon Smith will miss the trip, while Kole Norris is still questionable after suffering a concussion a week ago in Peace River. On the upside, Tyson Pederson will check back into the lineup, after more than two months on the injury shelf.
The Huskies won all 5 matchups against the Wolves in the regular season, 3 of them blowouts, and 2 of them close games.

Now that it really matters, the pups will look to continue their recent fine play, which saw them win 8 of their last 11 games, losing to only Whitecourt, and clinching second spot in the NWJHL.
This weekend’s games go at 8:30 on Friday night, at 7:30 on Saturday, live on Moose FM.
