Power has been restored after an outage caused 2,200 customers to lose power for about one hour.
BC Hydro spokesperson Bob Gammer says the outage was caused by a crow. He says the crow spread out its wings and touched two power lines. The power went through the crows body and caused a phase to phase fault. This resulted in the two wires burning and a power outage. ‘
The area affected was South of the 246 Road, North of the 269 Road, West of 79th street and East of the 275 road.
