Power has been restored to the community of Tumbler Ridge

The entire town has been without power since 5:30 Wednesday night.  The power was restored at 5:23 Thursday evening.

The outage occurred at a substation in a remote area, about 20 minutes outside of Chetwynd. The location prevented repair crews from access to the site until daylight today.

One of the three power lines was discovered burned, and a faulty binding wire is believed to be the cause of the fire.
