Richard Neufeld is now a Senator

Richard Neufeld was officially sworn in as a Senator this morning in Ottawa.

Neufeld was first elected to represent the riding in 1991, and held the seat for more than 17 years, serving under the BC Social Credit, Reform, and Liberal banners. He was appointed the Liberal government’s Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, in 2001. Mr. Neufeld is one of three BC residents on the Prime Minister’s apppointment list, which also includes CTV’S, highly popular veteran broadcast journalist, Mike Duffy.
