Another record temperature set Monday

Fort St. John registered its second consecutive record daily high temperature on Monday.
At 8 point nine degrees it easily surpassed the previous record high, for January 19th, which was 7 point eight in 1975.
It was also the fifth straight day the high reading in the city was 5 degrees or warmer.
However, that string is expected to end today, with a forecast high of plus 2.
In addition, the current heat wave has not produced a record high temperature for the month.
That remains 11 point six degrees and, it was set on the 30th of January, in 1993.
