Moose FM News has learned that just days before the latest EnCana attack, EnCana let go two companies that were providing security in the area of Tomslake.

Brian Lieverse Community Relations Advisor with EnCana was able to confirm some companies were let go, but wouldn’t say why. [asset|aid=773|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=80f1d23f0014157fadf118f2be023846-Brian-2_1_Pub.mp3]

Lieverse wouldn’t say whether the same number of security people are now patrolling the area. [asset|aid=774|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=80f1d23f0014157fadf118f2be023846-Brian – 1_1_Pub.mp3]

This is the fourth attack on EnCana facilities south of Dawson Creek near Tomslake.  EnCana increased patrols and security at it’s facilities in the region following the first attack in early October, but will not provide details about the types of security now in place.
