More Snow overnight making travel difficult

With close to four centimeters of new overnight snow in the area, being blown by a strong Northwest wind, this is likely to be another rough travel day in this region.
Environment Canada is predicting up to four more centimeters will fall today and, so will the temperature, to about minus 17 this afternoon and, minus 23 tonight.
So on top of very slippery conditions, motorists may well have to contend with blowing and drifting snow, poor visibility and high wind chills.
In addition, the long range forecast now shows overnight lows in the minus 25 to minus 30 range, through the weekend and, no significant relief to the cold snap, is in sight prior to Tuesday…
The cold weather extends right across the prairies and, into many northern U.S. states, where it is now blamed for 20 deaths.
