Harvesting the Ice for High on Ice Winter Festival

Crews spent much of last week working to harvest close to 300 blocks of ice that will be used in the High on Ice Winter Carnival.

High on Ice is scheduled for January 16th to 18th in Fort St. John.  The ice has been harvested from a pond just off the 271 road.  Out of the 300 blocks of ice, 150 are needed for the professional ice carvers who will fill Centennial Park with some amazing pieces of art.  More details will be released shortly on High on Ice.

Below are a few photos submitted to Energeticcity.ca of the Ice Harvesting.
