There’s some marginal improvement in the five day Fort St. John forecast with overall lows, expected to be just abve minus 30 degrees, tomorrow through Saturday.
Yesterday however, we just missed another daily record with an early morning low of minus 35 point three…three tenths of a degree off the 1964 record low.
Meantime, travelling by air to Vancouver also appeared to improve somewhat late yesterday, as a crew of 80 vehicles went to work, on the 30 centimeters of new snow covering YVR runways.
Earlier in the day dozens of flights in and out of the airport were delayed or cancelled and, among the scatches, were three Air Canada flights out of Fort St. John, at 10.55am and, 2.10 and 5.20pm.
The 9.25pm flight left as scheduled. As for today another heavy snowfall warning has been issued for the lower mainland.
