Peace Valley OSB plant General Manger Chris Baby confirmed this morning there will be 18 days of market curtailment in December at the Fort St. John facility.
He told a year end news briefing, that the fourth quarter of this year has been the worst downturn the plant has seen in three years of operation…
Mr. Baby also talked about the staff and morale impact of the curtailments…
Today’s news briefing comes on the heals, of a report from PriceWaterhouse-Coopers, showing Western Canadian forest companies, recorded a combined 230 million dollar third quarter loss this year, nearly 100 million more, than in the same quarter a year ago.
