Area C Candidates face off

This is the second and final day for advance voting in the November 15th civic election in electoral area “C” of the Peace River Regional District.

Once again the poll will be open from 8am to 8pm, at the local PRRD office, on 106th avenue.

Two of the three candidates for the seat, formerly held by Larry Houle…Brian Chuchill and Arthur Hadland…answered questions last night, at a public forum.

Two of the questions came from Fort St. John City Councilor, Karen Simpson and, they went to the long-standing fair share funding issue…

Both candidates agreed that to be more fair, for area “C” residents, the current agreement needs to be revised but, they seemed to differ in their degree of dissatisfaction with it and, in their approach to changing it…

Here’s part of what they had to say, and we’ll hear first from Mr. Hadland and then Mr. Churchill…

The third candidate, William Nurnberger, did not attend last night’s forum, citing work related reasons.

For those who missed the forum it has been posted on Energeticcity.ca…
