Police urge public to increase vigilance after man released from PG prison moves to FSJ

Fort St. John RCMP is asking citizens to be vigilant about locking their homes and vehicles as one of Prince George’s most prolific offenders has moved to Fort St. John. The individual, who is not named in the alert, has just been released after serving two years in jail for property and driving-related offenses. Police say this person’s criminal record dates back to 2004, and the individual has been known to commit car thefts and break and enters on both homes and vehicles. Cst. Jackelynn Passarell of the Fort St. John RCMP says the city’s Crime Reduction Unit will be monitoring the individual and won’t hesitate to take action if the individual continues to break the law. They’re also encouraging the public to report all suspicious activity, such as walking from home to home knocking on doors for no apparent reason, or checking door handles of vehicles.
