Tupper Creek Bridge to Get Repairs

In South Peace work has begun to replace the Highway Two Tupper Creek Bridge, 35 kilometers south of Dawson Creek.

Peace River South MLA Blair Lekstrom says due to increased use and heavier industrial traffic along the current bridge has begun to deteriorate and, raise safety concerns.

Prince George based Formula Contractors won the contract, with a bid just under one and a half million dollars.

The preparatory work began on October 20th and, the replacement bridge construction…scheduled to begin in March…should be completed by June 30th of next year.

A bridge detour is in effect at the construction site and, motorists can expect brief delays to accomodate alternating one lane traffic.
