Coroner's Inquest into the death of man in RCMP custody in FSJ begins tomorrow

BC Supreme Court will convene in Fort St. John tomorrow to begin an inquest into the death of Larry Lee McPherson.

On August 28th of last year, McPherson went into medical distress while in the custody of Fort St. John RCMP. He was transported to Fort St. John General Hospital but he later died.

A coroner and jury have been appointed to hear witness accounts of the death. The jury will then be asked if they wish to make reccomendations in order to prevent similar deaths in the future. The trial is expected to last three days.
