Other Notes:

-Adam Brash is returning for his second year as head coach. First year GM Rob Larson is expected to join Brash behind the bench over the season. Bryce Kelly returns as team trainer.

-Chad Vizzutti (the former Powell River goalie, who joined Fort St. John for the MacKenzie cup last year) is carded with FSJ. He is expected to play periodically with the club over the season in anticipation of another run at the Allan Cup. Coach Brash says he is expecting Vizzutti to play one of the games next weekend when the team plays a two game exhibition series in Stony Plain.

-Adam Loncan, Tyler Brough, Bryan Lewis, and Arlo Hadland are all expected to join the lineup soon.

-Aaron Scheppers is in school in Kamloops, but may join the club later in the season.

-Ryan Carter has moved to Calgary, but is a carded Flyer. Like Vizzutti, he will likely join the team in Stony Plain, and for AAA action later in the season.

-David Alexander was again wearing the ‘C’ last night vs. G.P.

Moose FM will be broadcasting most Flyers road games this season, beginning Thursday Nov. 6th in Grande Prairie. Moose FM will also broadcast the exhibition series in Stony Plain. Game times right now are scheduled for 7:30 pm on Saturday Nov. 8, and 1pm on Sunday Nov. 9. (FSJ moves to Mountain Time this weekend, so Alberta times are the same as for FSJ).

It being early in the season, line combinations are still largely to be determined. But, here’s a look at some of the lines seen on Thursday night: -Todd and David Alexander were reunited, and played most of the night with Chris Ford.

-Other lines seen include Paul Wiens with Matt Shuya and Dustin Kersey, Ian Munro with Jeff Shipton and Jeff Kalb, and Clayton Bahm with Matt Alexander and Jeff Fast.

Rookie Jeff Shipton says he’s not sure at this point who his linemates will be. [asset|aid=540|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=3fbe69c925081aea06b570a103d41c38-JShip-Lines_1_Pub.mp3]

Clearly, with the nature of senior hockey, and with more players on the way, we’ll expect to see plenty more lineup changes early on in the season.

Ryan Bjorklund is new to the team, having recently arrived from Prince George. Brash expects Bjorklund to share games with Troy Hunt this year,
