A team of designers is expected to present plans for Fort St. John’s newest neighbourhood this Thursday after four days of intense work.
Fort St. John’s Design Charrette kicked off yesterday morning with a tour of the site for the new neighbourhood, which is slated for 37 hectares of city owned land between 86th St. and the East Bypass Road. The neighbourhood will also be the site of the new Fort St. John Hospital and extended care unit.
The city has recruited a group of design professionals, who will work full-time for the next three days on a design for the new neighborhood. The group will also periodically consult with local stakeholders to get input on their work so far.
The Charrette culminates with a public presentation on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Pomeroy Hotel.
