Huskies win 4-3 in Slave Lake

Huskies win 4-3 over the Slave Lake Wolves on Sunday

Huskies got a well deserved win after Saturday night’s 8-2 loss. The 4-3 win over the Slave Lake Wolves comes at a key juncture, and may well boost the team’s moral. The Wolves have improved a lot since last year’s season, so the Huskies needed a good effort on Sunday, if they wanted to keep pace with the league’t top teams.

The Wolves got the first goal of the game, but the Huskies soon took over, and held off a late Slave Lake rally for a one goal win. Near the end of the game a few fights broke out, with goaltender Andrew Van der Merwe throwing a few blocker shots at Alex MacIssac, and Cody Kalb scrapping with Dustin Goastkeeper.
