Following the close of advance polling station this Sunday (Oct 5), Elections Canada has released its first estimate of advance polling numbers.
In the Prince George-Peace River riding, just over 2200 voters cast their ballots in advance. That’s down by nearly half from the previous federal election, which saw over 4200 voters cast advance ballots in the Prince George-Peace River riding.
Advance voting was down from the previous election across the entire country, from 1.56 million in 2006 to just under 1.46 million this year.
