Telus is reporting that about 130 of its customers in Hudson’s Hope lost phone and internet services at about noon today.
The outage also affects about 550 other customers in the area, who will be unable to make long distance calls as a result of the outage.
Telus technicians have been dispatched from Fort St. John to restore service. A spokesperson for Telus says the company won’t know what caused the problem until crews arrive and are able to make an assessment.
Local emergency operations personnel have been made aware of the situation. Telus expects service to be restored sometime this afternoon.
