PVEA Frustrated with Site C Consultations

As BC Hydro prepares for its Stakeholder Meetings later today (Oct.2), Peace Valley Environmental Association members are calling the Site C consultation process a "sell job." The association, which opposes the Site C project, says that the concerns they expressed during the first round of consultations were largely unheeded by the Site C team. PVEA spokesperson Brian Churchill says the group is frustrated by what it sees as a one-way flow of information. They say Hydro has been elusive when it comes to specific details about its current research into the project. Churchill says the group is divided on whether to continue participating in the consultation process, as some don’t see the value in attending if their voices aren’t listened to.
