Northern botany presentation tonight

Locals interested in the history of flora in the Peace area may want to attend a presentation tonight at Northern Lights College.

Dr. Ken Marr, a botanist for the Royal BC Museum, will be presenting information gained from his research on the plants of nothern British Columbia. Among other topics, Marr will discuss how botanists use DNA sequences to trace the migration of plants. Marr hopes to show the public that museums are more than just buildings full of artifacts.
