A Summerland man will be in court today after being arrested behind the wheel of a pickup reported stolen from Fort St. John.
Yesterday, an officer in Penticton became suspicious of a Ford F-350 Truck he noticed while on patrol.
The officer called in the license plate of the vehicle and found that the truck had been reported stolen from Fort St. John about a week earlier.
Police pursued the truck in unmarked vehicles for about 15 minutes, before the driver stalled the truck in an intersection.
Police then moved in and arrested the sole occupant, an 18-year-old man from Summerland, without incident.
A charge of possession of stolen property over $5000.00 is being recommended.
