New under-35 group joins FSJ Chamber of Commerce

Young business owners and hopefuls will be getting an extra boost from the Fort St. John Chamber of Commerce starting this fall.

The chamber has followed the lead of others around the country and formed a junior chamber.

The group, called Synergy Under 35, offers young entrepreneurs, senior staff and those looking to go into business for themselves opportunities to network, learn leadership skills, and give back to the community.

Living up to its title of second youngest population in BC, Fort St. John’s Chamber is already composed of a mainly under-50 demographic, and organizer Andrew Tylosky says he plans to take advantage of the innovation already present in the community.

The group plans to hold its first meeting in early October. More information can be found on the Synergy Under 35 Facebook page.
