Local Liberal candidate Lindsay Gidney has finally given his first interview.
Gidney, who says his platform will focus on the needs of his own and other communities, fittingly granted his first interview to a local paper, the Chetwynd Echo.
In his interview with the Echo, Gidney says his first priority for local communities will be to help revive a slowing economy in the area. Gidney says he plans to structure his campaign around face-to-face meetings with local citizens.
He suggests that this will be his advantage over Conservative Incumbent Jay Hill who he feels has "lost touch with the working families of this riding." Gidney also believes his broad range of work experience, including time in rail, logging and the military, allows him to better understand the region’s issues.
