Totals are in for yesterday’s Pancake Breakfast at the Fort St. John Fire Hall.

The fundraising effort managed to garner approximately $2,000.00 in donations for the Firefighter’s Burn Fund, which benefits camps for burn victims.

This year, the firefighters nearly doubled their average funds raised with the breakfast, which usually generates about $1,000.00 each year. Fire Fighter Matt Crompton says that the Fire Hall hopes to make the event even bigger next year.

The firefighters will be in the public eye again next month, when Fire Prevention Week begins October 5th.
