Project Porchlight Lightens Electrical Bills

Residents in the northeastern corner of the province can expect a hand with their outdoor lighting scheme this October.

Project Porchlight is an initiative to increase use of compact fluorescent lightbulbs across the country. The group is hoping to distribute 20,000 free lightbulbs door-to-door from Chetwynd to Fort Nelson.

Julia Milliken with the organization says that the lightbulbs won’t just save electricity; they’ll also save homeowners money. [asset|aid=241|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=Julia Milliken_1_Pub.mp3]

Project Porchlight is looking for volunteers in the area. More information is available at www.projectporchlight.com.
